Important people on both sides of the political discussion agreed long ago that Palin was a flake. She's the marginal figurehead of a marginal faction of rabble rousers. Even they wouldn't elect her if push came to shove. Her cause is helped by anyone publicizing even negative news because it provokes those who believe in some of her platform to come out and attack everyone in sight. When challenged, people tend to dig in deeper rather than reflect on the wisdom of the counter-argument. Democrats, Republicans & Libertarians alike are prone to the same gut reaction when their principles are called into question.
ReplyDeleteIt's time to tone down the Bin-laden rhetoric as well. More people die EVERY TWO DAYS from heart disease in the US. Think of what the medical community could have done with the trillions that we spent chasing Bin-Laden. Should we send drones into all of the McDonald's?
I wish that you would set your sights on restoring the freedoms that were lost during this last decade and caucusing against wars begun on poorly-defined ideologies. And remember, never fight a land war in Asia.
